According to the British newspaper Telegraph, Fenerbahce has discussed a transfer for Sancho with Man Utd. The ongoing negotiations will determine whether the deal will be a permanent transfer or a loan.
Man Utd is expected to cover a portion of Sancho's nearly $300,000 weekly wage if he moves to Fenerbahce on loan. However, the "Red Devils" reportedly prefer a permanent sale to bolster their transfer budget.
Another source, Mercato, reports that Fenerbahce is prepared to pay $21 million for Sancho outright. The Turkish club has offered a three-year contract with an option for a fourth year, along with a $14 million annual salary. Juventus and Napoli are also interested in Sancho but have proposed significantly lower salaries.
Sancho made a strong impression at Dortmund with 50 goals and 65 assists, prompting Man Utd to spend $107 million to acquire him in the summer of 2021. However, the English player has not met expectations at Old Trafford, scoring 9 goals and providing 6 assists in 58 Premier League appearances.
In the latter half of the 2023-2024 season, Sancho returned to Dortmund on loan due to a conflict with Erik ten Hag. Last season, the 25-year-old was loaned to Chelsea with a $34 million buy-out clause. Because Sancho refused to lower his salary, Chelsea opted to pay a $7 million penalty to return him to Old Trafford.

Man Utd is having a busy summer, including considering the future of Andre Onana. Monaco wants to acquire the Cameroonian goalkeeper but admits they cannot meet his financial demands. The Telegraph suggests an agreement between the two clubs is "unlikely at this stage".
The Old Trafford club is also looking for new homes for Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, and Antony. Garnacho might move to Chelsea, while Christopher Nkunku could join Man Utd. Rashford has offered his services to Barca, and Antony wants to continue playing for Real Betis.
Conversely, the "Red Devils" have acquired Matheus Cunha from Wolves for $85 million and have inquired about Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo for over $80 million.
