NK makes history with third consecutive FVPL championship

Triumphing over Sonic in the FVPL Summer 2025 finals, NK becomes the first team to win three consecutive championships, securing a spot in the 2025 FC Pro Champions Cup alongside the runners-up.

On 3/8, at the Quan Ngua Sports Palace in Hanoi, four teams—NK, Sonic, FPT, and Amt—battled in the final matches of the FVPL Summer 2025 tournament to determine the champion and the two teams that would represent Vietnam in international competition. NK demonstrated their championship prowess by defeating Sonic 3-2 in the winner's bracket final, becoming the first team to secure a ticket to Shanghai.

In the loser's bracket, FPT lost their advantage to Amt, who rallied to a 3-1 victory. This win propelled Amt to the loser's bracket final against Sonic. The victor would then face NK in the grand final. The match between Amt and Sonic was a tense affair. Thanh Hoa was the center of attention, defeating Quang Cris with a decisive 4-0 score, leading Sonic to a 3-2 victory and securing the second spot in the FC Pro Champions Cup.

The grand final was a rematch between NK and Sonic. Despite Thanh Hoa's continued strong performance for Sonic, NK displayed superior experience and composure. LHAT and his teammates achieved a convincing victory, successfully defending their title and making history with their third consecutive FVPL championship.

In individual achievements, Thanh Hoa set a new record with 39 goals throughout the tournament, surpassing Subin's previous record of 36 goals to become the top scorer of the season. This is the first time a player has achieved such a high scoring record in FVPL, cementing Thanh Hoa's reputation and crucial role in Sonic.

The FVPL Summer event attracted nearly 2,000 spectators to the Quan Ngua Sports Palace, creating an electric atmosphere for FC Online fans. In addition to cheering on their teams, fans participated in side activities like mini-games, received gifts, and interacted with players.
