Over 4,000 police officers participate in 'for the nation's security' games

The 'For the Nation's Security' Games attracted over 4,000 officers from 126 delegations and 26 teams across the country, from 26/7 to 1/8.

The Ministry of Public Security organized the 9th 'For the Nation's Security' Games and the 6th Drill, Military, and Martial Arts Competition. The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) co-sponsored the events.

These events commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security (19/8/1945 – 19/8/2025) and the 20th anniversary of National Security Protection Day (19/8/2005 – 19/8/2025). The events aim to develop officers who are not only professionally skilled but also physically fit and mentally strong, ready to fulfill their duties, according to organizers.

The opening ceremony on the evening of 26/7 featured the art program "Flame from the Heart," showcasing Vietnamese culture with the theme of aspiration to shine. The audience witnessed performances such as the People's Public Security martial arts demonstration, Mai Hoa Quyen and the 35-movement sequence combined with stances, and a formation display by 800 officers.

With over 4,000 officers from 126 delegations and 26 teams nationwide, the games fostered a competitive spirit. The events included high-performance sports, drills, shooting, and martial arts, testing physical strength, professional skills, reaction time, and coordination in combat scenarios. "This is an opportunity for units to learn, compete, share experiences, and work together towards building a regular, elite, and modern public security force," an organizer said.

Outstanding individuals and groups were also recognized for their contributions.

In the overall team rankings, Ho Chi Minh City Police secured first place, followed by Hanoi City Police in second and Mobile Police Command K02 in third.
