According to ESPN on 22/6, Pogba will sign a two-year contract with Monaco in July. Although a Saudi Arabian club offered a more lucrative deal, the 32-year-old midfielder preferred to remain in Europe.
Last season, Monaco finished third in Ligue 1. Along with PSG, Marseille, and Nice, they will compete in the upcoming Champions League. Joining Monaco could pave the way for Pogba's return to top form.

Pogba has been sidelined since September 2023 after testing positive for the banned substance DHEA. In February 2024, an Italian court imposed a four-year ban on the French midfielder. This was later reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in October of the same year.
Pogba maintains that he unknowingly ingested the banned substance and even contemplated retirement.
Despite the reduced ban, his contract with Juventus was terminated in November 2024, leaving him a free agent.
Pogba won four consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus between 2012 and 2016. In the summer of 2016, he set a transfer record of 118 million USD when he returned to Manchester United, where he won the 2017 Europa League.
In 2018, Pogba won the World Cup with the French national team, scoring a goal in the 4-2 final victory against Croatia. He also helped France win the Nations League in 2021.
