Predator League 2027 to be held in Vietnam

Vietnam is the next destination for the Predator League esports tournament, following the recent season in New Delhi, India.

Vietnam will host the Predator League 2027, the next iteration of the premier esports event. The organizing committee announced Vietnam as the host, citing the country's young, dynamic gaming community with notable competitive achievements. Furthermore, Vietnam's evolving technological infrastructure makes it suitable for major esports events. A representative from the organizing committee stated, "Predator League 2027 promises to deliver peak competitions, blending technology and entertainment, which will significantly boost the domestic esports ecosystem and gaming industry."

The Predator League 2026 APAC tournament concluded in New Delhi, India, on 13/1, with Myth Avenue Gaming (Malaysia) and Fancy United Esports (Vietnam) securing the Dota 2 and Valorant championships, respectively. It stands as a premier esports event in the Asia-Pacific region, known for its intense competition, live entertainment, and high-tech gaming experiences.

The event in India gathered top regional esports teams, thousands of fans, and music artists. According to the organizers, 14 regions participated, with over 4,000 live spectators. Key attendees included Andrew Hou, President of Acer Asia-Pacific; Harish Kohli, President and General Director of Acer India; along with Acer's APAC leadership team; and Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, Minister of Transport, Youth and Sports for Andhra Pradesh state.

During two days of intense competition, the Bharat Mandapam Convention Center in India transformed into a vibrant esports arena. Top teams from the Asia-Pacific region competed for the Predator Shield in Dota 2 and Valorant. Myth Avenue Gaming emerged victorious in the Dota 2 finals, while Fancy United Esports claimed the Valorant championship. The runners-up were Rekonix and Boom Esports.

According to the organizing committee, each champion team received USD 65,000, while the runner-up teams each received USD 20,000. The Dota 2 MVP title went to egxrdemxn, and the Valorant MVP title was awarded to Twilight, with each player receiving USD 10,000. The total prize pool for Predator League 2026 reached USD 400,000.

Andrew Hou, President of Acer Asia-Pacific, stated that esports connects talent, passion, and innovation across the region. He added, "Each match reflects the dedication and superior skill of teams and individuals who continually elevate the competitive environment. Hosting the finals in India was a memorable milestone, honoring the growing strength of the APAC esports ecosystem. Predator remains committed to nurturing talent, supporting the community, and expanding the boundaries of gaming technology."

Harish Kohli, President and General Director of Acer India, believes the recent event clearly demonstrated India's position on the global esports map. It showcased the country's organizational capability, fan appeal, and technology's role in elevating professional play. He affirmed, "Acer is committed to empowering gamers through high-performance platforms and technology."
