Ngoc Hai joined Binh Duong in 2023 on a three-year contract, receiving a two-year signing bonus, reportedly around 10 billion VND (approximately 427,000 USD). In the 2023-2024 season, injuries limited him to 15 appearances, totaling 982 minutes across all competitions. The following season, 2024-2025, his appearances increased to 25, with 2,005 minutes played. Binh Duong finished 9th and 7th in the V-League during these seasons, respectively.
In the National Cup semi-final, Ngoc Hai made a costly error, fouling SLNA's center-back Michael Olaha in the penalty box late in the second half. The resulting penalty kick secured a 3-2 victory for SLNA, ending Binh Duong's last chance at a title.

Following the season's conclusion, Binh Duong's management felt Ngoc Hai's fitness and skills had declined and sought to terminate his contract a year early. After extended negotiations, both parties reached an agreement. The Nghe An native confirmed this on his personal page, expressing gratitude to the club and its fans.
VnExpress has learned that Ngoc Hai is currently in talks to join Thanh Hoa FC.
Born in 1993, Que Ngoc Hai developed through SLNA's youth academy before joining their first team in 2012. Six years later, he moved to Viettel (now The Cong Viettel). Before the 2022 season, Ngoc Hai returned to his hometown club on a three-year deal but requested an early termination in August 2023 to join Binh Duong.
Ngoc Hai has achieved significant success in his career, winning the National Cup with SLNA in 2017, the V-League with Viettel in 2020, and the ASEAN Cup (formerly AFF Cup) with the Vietnam national team in 2018.
However, since the 2024 ASEAN Cup, Ngoc Hai has not been called back to the national team. His last appearance for the national team was in a 1-1 draw against India in October 2024. Vietnam's conceded goal resulted from Ngoc Hai's misjudgment of the ball's trajectory.
Ngoc Hai is the 4th player to leave Binh Duong, following foreign players Timite Cheick, Odiljon Abdurakhmanov, and goalkeeper Vu Tuyen Quang. Striker Nguyen Tien Linh is also rumored to be seeking a new club.
Binh Duong FC, formerly Song Be FC, was established in 1976. After decades of development, the club was renamed Becamex Binh Duong in 2002. Thanks to substantial investment, the team, once dubbed the "Chelsea of Vietnam," won four V-League titles in 2007, 2008, 2014, and 2015, three National Cups (1994, 2015, and 2018), 4 National Super Cups (2007, 2008, 2014, and 2015), and the Mekong Club Championship in 2014. They also secured eight Binh Duong International Tournament – BTV Cup titles.
In recent years, Binh Duong's performance has been inconsistent, leading to frequent coaching changes. They recently requested to be renamed TP HCM FC and are awaiting approval from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), which organizes professional football leagues in Vietnam.
