According to the UK newspaper Independent, Al Nassr and Inter Miami are among the clubs looking to sign Mohamed Salah. Al Nassr features superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane, Salah's former Liverpool teammate. The team's attack also includes other well-known players like Kingsley Coman and Joao Felix.

The prospect of Salah joining Inter Miami to play alongside Lionel Messi promises to generate immense media attention. However, a major obstacle lies in the Major League Soccer (MLS) salary cap structure. Inter Miami has already utilized all three designated player slots for players whose salaries exceed the league cap, meaning they would need to adjust their roster to sign the Egyptian star. This factor significantly complicates the deal compared to other options in Saudi Arabia.
Beyond the two destinations linked with Ronaldo and Messi, the possibility of Salah joining another MLS club is also being discussed. Several American teams are prepared to invest in bringing in major stars to elevate the league's profile.
Meanwhile, European clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich are considered less likely options. At the age of 33, with a high salary and signs of declining performance in his final season at Liverpool, Salah is no longer a priority target for teams pursuing a squad rejuvenation strategy.
Amid these choices, Al Ittihad has emerged as a leading contender. The club previously sent an offer of approximately 200 million USD for Salah in 2023, clearly demonstrating their determination to acquire the Egyptian forward. When Liverpool declined to sell, the deal could not be completed. But now, with Salah preparing to leave as a free agent, the opportunity for Al Ittihad has become more realistic than ever.
In addition to financial advantages, Al Ittihad also lacks an attacking star capable of making a difference both on the field and commercially. In 1/2026, they allowed Karim Benzema to join Al Hilal, leaving them without a star attacker of that caliber. According to the latest betting odds, Al Ittihad is leading the race to sign Salah with a probability of nearly 50%, far ahead of other rivals.
