Man Utd currently pays Jadon Sancho USD 360,000 per week. To return to Dortmund, the 25-year-old winger is reportedly willing to accept USD 180,000, a figure lower than his pre-Man Utd salary.

Sancho rose to prominence at Dortmund between 2017 and 2021. However, his performance at Man Utd has been underwhelming, with only 12 goals in 83 appearances.
Following a disagreement with former manager Erik Ten Hag, Sancho returned to Dortmund on loan for the latter half of the 2023-2024 season. He contributed to the team's Champions League final run, but Dortmund did not exercise their option to buy. In the 2024-2025 season, he joined Chelsea on another loan deal, winning the Conference League. Chelsea reportedly considered a permanent signing, but they failed to reach a salary agreement with Sancho.
Man Utd's current manager, Ruben Amorim, has long been reluctant to retain Sancho. Even without having utilized him, Amorim believes the 25-year-old doesn't fit into his current squad. Sancho, along with Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Tyrell Malacia, is among the players Man Utd is looking to offload before the summer transfer window closes.
Some clubs are exploiting Man Utd's need to sell by offering low prices. However, Amorim stated he's prepared to keep the players if no suitable offers materialize. "We are simply giving these players time to think and decide," Amorim said. "If they don't leave, they will remain Man Utd players. I understand clubs are waiting until the last minute, but they might be surprised. I am prepared to keep the players.".
This summer, Man Utd has already acquired two wingers: Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. Amorim is now aiming to sign a striker, with Benjamin Sesko of Leipzig and Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea as potential targets.
