Born in 1992, Le Nguyet Minh developed his skills at the Hoc Mon cycling training center in TP HCM. He has been the best sprinter in Vietnamese cycling for the past 10 years. He won the Green Jersey in the Television Cup three consecutive times from 2017 to 2019. In addition, he has won hundreds of stages in numerous races since turning professional in 2009, as well as awards while representing the Vietnamese national cycling team.
However, in 2023, he decided to retire from professional cycling, turning to amateur racing and business.
The cycling community was surprised by his return at the 2025 National Championship, representing Dong Nai instead of TP HCM. When asked about this, Nguyet Minh expressed his gratitude to TP HCM cycling but explained that he chose Dong Nai for his comeback due to different personal goals and directions. "I'm not turning my back on my former team, but I want to challenge myself in a new environment, pursuing a new direction," the Hoc Mon native added.
Despite being away from professional cycling for a while, thanks to his strong foundation, he remains a top sprinter in Vietnam. "I haven't competed professionally for a while, but I've continued amateur racing and consistent training, so I didn't face many difficulties returning. With strong support from my new team, I believe I'll soon regain my peak performance in upcoming tournaments," he said.
