Not since Steffi Graf's victory over Natasha Zvereva at the 1988 French Open, 37 years ago, has a Grand Slam singles final ended in a double bagel. Like Graf, Iga Swiatek secured her first Wimbledon title with a resounding 6-0, 6-0 scoreline. While the match against Graf marked both Zvereva's first and last Grand Slam final appearance, for Anisimova, the loss to Swiatek represented her debut in a major final.
