The star of the show is 23-year-old Ilana Sedaka, a former figure skater and current pilates instructor with a passion for tennis. She has a substantial social media following and lives in Miami. The series will follow Sedaka as she meets and interacts with seven men, chosen for their social media presence, celebrity status, or simply for being ardent tennis fans.
In each episode, Sedaka and her potential matches will participate in various activities, including puzzles, fun challenges, and exploring the tennis complex. One man will be eliminated at the end of each episode, leaving two finalists vying for Sedaka's affection in the final episode.
A USTA representative stated, "We are striving to engage new audiences and connect with fans at the intersection of tennis, pop culture, and entertainment". "This is the perfect time to elevate the event and bring a new energy that is fun, exciting, unpredictable, and dramatic. This show will contribute to an unprecedented tournament".
According to a 2024 USTA study, one in 12 Americans plays tennis, totaling approximately 26 million people. This is the highest number in the US in the past five years, but still behind basketball, which boasts about 28 million players.
