The 2025 AFF U23 Championship, held in Indonesia from 15/7 to 29/7, features all 10 teams divided into three groups. Group A consists of four teams: Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Brunei. Group B includes Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Group C comprises Thailand, Myanmar, and Timor Leste. The three group winners and the best second-placed team will advance to the semi-finals.

The AFF U23 Championship has been held four times, with Thailand (2005), Indonesia (2019), and Vietnam (2022, 2023) winning the title. This year's tournament takes place from 15/7 to 31/7 in Indonesia. The two stadiums being used are Patriot Candrabhaga (Bekasi) and Gelora Bung Karno (Jakarta).

In their opening Group B match, Laos drew 1-1 with Cambodia.
