By the registration deadline, the event recorded 13,000 runners, setting a new record for the entire VnExpress Marathon system. Of these, runners from central Vietnam accounted for 51%, southern Vietnam 29%, northern Vietnam 12%, and the rest came from overseas.
Compared to the first event in 2022 with 8,500 participants, this year's scale increased by nearly 5,000 runners. The number of local runners also reached the highest level ever: more than 3,700 people in Nha Trang, exceeding 4,000 if including the Khanh Hoa province after merging with Ninh Thuan.
Previously, races held in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, or Quy Nhon—the oldest race in the system—all recorded no more than 12,000 runners. VnExpress Marathon Libera Nha Trang 2025 reaching the 13,000 mark demonstrates the growing appeal of the system and the coastal city's new position on the national running map.

The organizing committee representative stated that the growth in scale shows that the running movement in Khanh Hoa in particular and the South Central Coast region in general is developing strongly. The close cooperation of the local authorities with the tournament, along with tourism and favorable timing, have helped the event in Nha Trang create a special boost.
Of the 13,000 runners this year, the half-marathon group accounts for the highest percentage with nearly 4,000 people, reflecting the increasingly popular trend of middle-distance running. The 5km and 10km distances recorded nearly 7,000 people, while the 42km race had just over 1,500 participants. This shows a clear differentiation in the goals of the two runner groups: conquering personal achievements and experiencing sports tourism.
VnExpress Marathon Libera Nha Trang 2025 also marks the first year the VnExpress Marathon system entered a booming phase, with more than 10 races taking place across the country. The support of local authorities, advantages in weather, tourism, and infrastructure have contributed to making the coastal city a strategic destination for this year's season.

Besides individuals, the number of people registering by team, club, and business has increased dramatically. This trend is expected to continue to increase in the coming seasons, as running is chosen as an effective form of internal bonding and brand communication.
VnExpress Marathon Libera Nha Trang 2025 will take place on 24/8. With the expo system, side events, and accompanying travel support, the race is expected to boost local commercial and service activities during peak week.
