vRace, developed by FPT Online, enables businesses to organize virtual running, walking, and cycling events. The platform aims to make sports more accessible to communities and businesses, regardless of location, time, or organizational scale.
"Participants can run or cycle anywhere, without needing to gather in large groups or be limited by location or time," a vRace representative said. "The entire process, from registration and performance tracking to leaderboard updates, medals, and certificates, is digitized within the vRace app (iOS and Android). It connects with devices like Garmin and Strava or uses the phone's GPS."

The app can accommodate races ranging from 50 to 200,000 participants. Businesses can tailor events to their needs, creating small internal races with a few hundred participants or nationwide events, with rankings divided by department, region, or sub-brand. Race durations are flexible, from a few days to several weeks, aligning with various goals such as team building, competition, CSR, or brand activation.
vRace has organized over 100 running, walking, and cycling events. These include large-scale campaigns such as MB Bank's HiGreen (82,000 participants), FPT's Footprint of Happiness (76,000 participants), and the Ministry of Education and Training's S-Race (70,000 students nationwide).
"To ensure fairness, we have integrated an automated anti-cheating system using GPS to verify distance, speed, and movement signals," the vRace representative explained. "Anomalies such as excessive speed, extended breaks, or manual manipulation are detected and removed. In 2024 alone, over 1.4 million fraudulent activities were identified and addressed."
Participants can track individual or team results in real time. The transparent leaderboards, electronic certificates, and physical medals enhance commitment and motivation.

vRace also supports businesses in developing PR content, banners, viral videos, interactive mini-games, and landing pages consistent with their brand image. "Businesses can also create races named after their products, offer promotional codes based on milestones, collect customer data, and implement reward point systems through the 'Run to Earn' feature. The platform allows for CRM integration, personalized experiences, and remarketing across multiple channels," the developer stated.
By mid-2025, vRace reached one million registered users and 150,000 monthly active users. Over 40 million kilometers have been logged, and over 20,000 items (shirts, medals, certificates) have been delivered to users nationwide. The app currently ranks first in the Health & Fitness category on the Vietnam App Store, with over 40,000 reviews and an average rating of 4.7/5 stars.
