Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture Bank (VRB) is hosting "VRB run 2026", an online charity race, from 10/10 to 30/10. The event, under the message "steps bridging connections", marks the bank's 20th anniversary (2006-2026) and aims to promote physical activity while fostering social responsibility.
The race functions as a unique fundraising initiative: each valid kilometer covered by participants, whether running or walking, will be converted into a 10,000 Vietnamese dong (VND) contribution to the "sharing bridges" fund. VRB has set a total fundraising goal of 1 billion VND. Once this financial target is met, the program will stop accumulating monetary contributions, but it will continue to record participants' distances, achievements, and update leaderboards until the campaign concludes on 30/10.
All proceeds from the "VRB run 2026" will directly benefit Lang Son Provincial General Hospital. These funds are designated for two key purposes: acquiring specialized medical equipment and constructing a modern facility for exercise, duong sinh (a traditional Vietnamese health practice), and rehabilitation for patients undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Nguyen Viet Ha, Vice Chairman of VRB's Board of Members, emphasized the humanitarian aspect of the program. He stated, "each step taken not only helps improve health and build an active lifestyle but also provides an opportunity for individuals to show love, sharing, and responsibility toward the community." Mr. Ha affirmed that "this is also the core spirit that VRB has always preserved and promoted throughout its 20-year journey of establishment and development."

The race is designed for broad participation, with no limit on registrations. It welcomes three main groups: VRB staff members, the bank's customers and partners, and the general public who enjoy running and walking.
To ensure valid achievement recognition by the system, each activity (tracklog) must cover a minimum distance of 1 km. The average pace for these activities should range from 4 minutes/km to 18 minutes/km. All performance data must be tracked using GPS and clearly visible on a movement map. A maximum distance of 42 km/day will be recorded for each athlete. Participants have the flexibility to record their performance directly through the vRace application or by synchronizing data from the Strava application and Garmin smartwatches linked to their accounts.
Upon successful completion of the campaign, each participant will receive an electronic medal from the system. This serves as a recognition of their efforts and their valuable contributions to the community.
