Doctors at Hue Central Hospital recently performed a successful stem cell transplant, saving an 8-year-old boy with Thalassemia using bone marrow from his 11-year-old sister.
An 8-year-old boy suffering from severe aplastic anemia, resistant to all treatments, was saved by a stem cell transplant from his biological brother - the only remaining solution to save the patient's life.
