In the first few days of August 1945, Japan suffered two atomic bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, resulting in over 100,000 immediate deaths and leaving a lasting legacy.

80 years have passed since atomic bombs were used in war, but for survivors, the scars remain.

Since 2018, Rebun Kayo has made dozens of trips each year to Ninoshima Island, searching for the remains of victims of the Hiroshima atomic bombing.

Under the July sun, 12-year-old Shun greets groups of foreign visitors with a cheerful "Hello" before beginning his tour at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
