Four passengers arriving from Taiwan, China, at Noi Bai Airport were found by customs officials to be concealing 12,3 kg of suspected gold bars in their underwear.
In the indictment for the 546 kg gold smuggling case, prosecutors stated that the defendants' actions contributed to an artificial scarcity, forcing people to queue and jostle to buy gold.
