Song Quao and Song Luy irrigation reservoirs in Binh Thuan have increased water discharge compared to yesterday, aiming to maintain flood prevention capacity and ensure dam safety.
Ahead of predicted heavy rains and storms in the coming days, with reservoirs already at full capacity, Lam Dong has instructed hydropower plants on the Dong Nai river to release water to create flood prevention storage.
Due to prolonged heavy rain causing a rapid increase in water inflow, the Song Ba Ha hydropower reservoir has opened 12 spillway gates, releasing a total of 16,100 m3/s, marking its highest discharge rate to date.
