One day after their FA Community Shield victory over Liverpool, Crystal Palace's appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding their demotion from the Europa League to the Conference League has been denied.
Following their team's appeal against a Europa League ban, a group of Crystal Palace fans brought a suitcase of fake money to the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, as a form of protest.
Due to violating the rule against one owner possessing multiple clubs, Crystal Palace will compete in the UEFA Conference League, ceding their Europa League spot to Nottingham Forest.
