The number of university applicants using international language certificates, most commonly IELTS, for English language credit or bonus points has increased by 1.5 to 4 times at many universities.
Thanks to IELTS, around 8,850 applicants received a maximum of 1.5 bonus points or had their scores converted to English subject scores when applying to the University of Economics and Law (UEL), a 3.7-fold increase compared to last year.
