Students from elementary to high school will start classes between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. and finish between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m., according to the Department of Education and Training.
Schools are not allowed to schedule classes on Saturdays. If they cannot cover the curriculum within the weekday schedule, they are permitted to teach a maximum of 8 periods per day, according to the Department of Education.
Principals whose schools have unclean restrooms, leading students to avoid using them, will be deemed as not fulfilling their duties and their capabilities will be reassessed, according to the director of Ho Chi Minh City's Department of Education and Training.
