Free national concerts celebrate Vietnam's national day

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's national day, Hanoi residents and visitors can enjoy several free large-scale concerts and cultural events.

These events are co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi People's Committee, and other organizations.

Large youth concert in Dong Anh

The highlights leading up to the holiday are two major concerts at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center in Dong Anh district.

The "Vietnam in Me" concert, targeting young audiences, will take place at 8 p.m. on 26/8. The stage promises to be electrifying with popular artists like Soobin Hoang Son, Hoa Minzy, Erik, Duc Phuc, Quan AP, Duong Hoang Yen, and the band Chillies. The program offers young people a chance to reflect on the nation's proud 80-year journey, fostering a love for their homeland.

Following this, the "Hanoi - Vietnam's Eternal Aspiration" concert will be held at 8 p.m. on 31/8. This elaborately staged performance combines various art forms like singing, dancing, and theatrical scenes with 3D mapping, modern sound, and lighting. The program will be broadcast live, with an open area for invited guests and the public.

Epic art performance at My Dinh Stadium

One of the most anticipated events is a special art program on the evening of 1/9 at My Dinh National Stadium.

With the main theme of praising love for the homeland, the concert is divided into three parts: The Path to Independence and Reunification, Homeland Aspirations, and My Homeland, Never More Beautiful.

The stage will feature renowned artists from various generations, including veteran vocalists like Thanh Lam, Dang Duong, Trong Tan, My Tam, and Tung Duong, as well as contemporary artists favored by young people like Den, Lam Bao Ngoc, and Anh Tu. The participation of bands like OPlus, Ngu Cung, and Dong Thoi Gian promises a diverse musical feast, both majestic and heartfelt.

Hanoi lights up on the night of 2/9

At 7:30 p.m. on National Day, 2/9, music will fill public spaces throughout the city, creating a memorable festive night. Four programs will take place simultaneously in four wards, offering various options for residents and visitors.

In the heart of the capital, Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square (Hoan Kiem ward) will host the "80 Years - Proud Vietnam" program. Part of a series of events starting on 30/8, the concert will feature professional art groups and hundreds of amateur performers and students. The performance includes a series of singing, dancing, contemporary dance, and theatrical performances combined with archival footage and modern sound and lighting technology.

Meanwhile, by the breezy West Lake, the "Eternal Anthem" program will take place at the outdoor stage in Lac Long Quan flower garden (Tay Ho ward).

At the same time, the western part of the city will also be vibrant with the "Under the Golden Star" concert at My Dinh Stadium (My Dinh ward) and the "Echoes of Triumph" program at Van Quan Lake (Ha Dong ward).
