Hanoi designates 100 parking spots for National Day celebrations

Hanoi has designated parking areas to facilitate travel for residents and tourists attending the 80th National Day celebrations.

Following a request from the Hanoi People's Committee, various departments, agencies, local authorities, and businesses have arranged 100 parking locations, including 12 designated areas, 12 university campuses, and 68 on-street parking zones.

These locations are situated near the two urban railway lines and in wards within the area from Ring Road 3 to Ring Road 1. This arrangement aims to make it easier for residents and visitors to travel to and observe the National Day activities on 2/9. The designated parking areas include:

: The depot area of the Nhon railway line: for buses with 30 seats or more.

: Hanoi Transport Corporation's parking lot at Nhon station: for cars, motorbikes, and bicycles.

: The land of the Exploitation One Member Limited Liability Company (adjacent to the University of Industry): for motorbikes and bicycles.

: The land at the Nhon bus transfer point: for motorbikes and bicycles.

: On-street parking along Quan Hoa, Nguyen Van Huyen, Tran Quy Kien, Tran Thai Tong, Thanh Thai, Duy Tan, Duong Dinh Nghe, Ton That Thuyet, Nguyen Chanh, Trung Hoa, Vu Pham Ham, Tran Kim Xuyen, Mac Thai To, Mac Thai Tong, Tran Quoc Hoan, Ham Nghi, and Ho Tung Mau streets: for cars.

: On-street parking along Highway 70 (section from Trinh Van Bo to Highway 32): for buses and cars.

: Parking lots within the campuses of Vietnam National University, Hanoi National University of Education, and University of Transport and Communications: for cars, motorbikes, and bicycles.

: Inside Yen Nghia bus station: for buses and cars.

: Phu Luong depot area: for buses.

: On-street parking along Nguyen Khuyen and 19/5 streets, Ha Dong ward: for cars.

: Parking lots within the campus of Le Hong Phong Training School: for cars.

: Parking lots within the campuses of Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Hanoi University, Hanoi University of Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Thuy Loi University, and Trade Union University: for cars, motorbikes, and bicycles.

: Vacant land near Thang Long Cigarette Company, Nguyen Trai street: for buses and 45-seat vehicles.

: On-street parking along Highway 2.5 from Kim Dong to Den Lu (both directions): for buses and cars.

: On-street parking along Kim Nguu, Thanh Nhan, Tran Dai Nghia, Pho Vong, Nam Son, Linh Nam, and Dam Phuong streets: for cars.

: Parking lots within the campuses of National Economics University and National University of Civil Engineering: for cars, motorbikes, and bicycles.

: The area north of Nhat Tan bridge: on-street parking along Minh Tao, Nguyen Xuan Khoat, and Xuan Tao streets (section from Hoang Minh Thao to Nguyen Xuan Khoat), currently licensed by the Department of Construction: for cars.

: The area north of Chuong Duong bridge: on-street parking along Hong Tien and Nguyen Gia Bong streets: for cars.

: On-street parking along Phu Huu and Hoang Nhu Tiep streets: for cars.

: The area east of Nguyen Van Linh street: on-street parking and vacant land along Dam Quang Trung street: for buses and cars.

Public transport such as the elevated railway is encouraged.

After the rehearsal on 21/8, the Hanoi Department of Construction received feedback regarding the lack of parking and parking lots exceeding the prescribed fees. In addition to the designated parking spots mentioned above, Hanoi advises residents to avoid using personal vehicles in the inner city to prevent congestion. Public transport options like buses and the elevated railway are recommended to avoid overcrowding and potential traffic jams.
