Serving as Vinh Long's tourism ambassador, Emily Hong Nhung showcased the province's ecotourism offerings at the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair.

The 19th Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair (ITE HCMC 2025) opened on 4/9 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). With the theme "Mekong River", this year's event emphasized cooperation, connection, and sustainable tourism promotion throughout the region.

Vinh Long province's booth featured a welcoming display showcasing the region's rivers, orchards, agricultural specialties, and ecotourism products. Provincial representatives stated that participating in the international tourism fair provides an opportunity to promote the advantages of a region intrinsically linked to the Mekong River, solidifying its place on Vietnam's tourism map.

Emily Hong Nhung expressed pride in representing Vinh Long at ITE HCMC 2025. She noted the event promotes her homeland, fosters cooperation, and connects localities within the Mekong sub-region towards more sustainable and humane tourism development.

The ITE HCMC 2025, held from 4/9 to 6/9, is co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (UBND TP HCM). In addition to the fair, the program includes the Export Forum 2025 and the "International Commodity Supply Chain Connection" event, creating a series of activities to promote trade, investment, and tourism.

This year's "Mekong River" theme reflects the focus on connecting countries in the Mekong sub-region, a place rich in cultural, natural, and human values. This foundation helps build a shared tourism brand while promoting the Mekong region as a destination for rich and sustainable experiences.

The fair brings together hundreds of domestic and international booths, presenting a diverse picture of global tourism. Notably, the Mekong region booths impressed visitors with ecotourism, local cuisine, OCOP products (One Commune One Product program), and community tourism models. Each exhibition space not only promotes destinations but also spreads the message of green and creative development connected with the community.

With its abundant natural resources, diverse culture, and the allure of river experiences, the Mekong region faces many development opportunities. The growing trend of green tourism and community-based experiences among international tourists opens up significant prospects for provinces like Vinh Long.
