The Vietnamese Culture Festival in Moscow, held from 25/7 to 3/8 at Manezhnaya Square, commemorated the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Russia. The event attracted 968,000 visitors who engaged in various activities.

The festival continued the tradition of cultural exchange between the two nations. Through artistic performances, culinary demonstrations, craft workshops, and exhibitions, the event provided Muscovites and tourists with an opportunity to explore Vietnam's distinctive cultural values.

The festival was met with enthusiasm by residents and tourists. Visitors eagerly participated in cooking classes featuring dishes like pho, spring rolls, and fried com. Water puppet shows, traditional music performances, martial arts, and folk dances left lasting impressions.
Designer Vu Viet Ha’s "Hanoi 12 Seasons of Flowers" ao dai collection captivated audiences with its portrayal of Hanoi's beauty through floral imagery. Visitors were also impressed by the lacquerware exhibition, which blended traditional art with modern design. The photo exhibition "Vietnam: Land and People" reflected landscapes and daily life. Hands-on activities like to he clay figurine molding, Dong Ho painting, and shopping for traditional crafts (lacquerware, conical hats) added to the festival's appeal. Feedback on social media and at the event was positive, highlighting the authenticity and unique atmosphere.

The Moscow City Tourism Committee maintains an ongoing dialogue with Vietnamese partners and is exploring new forms of cooperation. In recent years, Moscow has sent several promotional delegations to Vietnam, including trips to Hanoi (9/2024) and Ho Chi Minh City (2/2025), to strengthen tourism connections.
These efforts not only promote Moscow as a destination but also foster joint initiatives like cultural exchange programs, media campaigns, and bilateral events.

Through events like the Vietnamese Culture Festival, the Moscow City Tourism Committee aims to emphasize openness, cultural diversity, and hospitality. This is part of a long-term effort to strengthen international relations and establish Moscow as a dynamic and integrated city.
By 2030, Moscow expects to welcome approximately 7.3 million visitors to cultural festivals, fairs, concerts, and community events. This reflects the growing demand for cultural experiences and affirms Moscow's status as a center for international exchange.
By offering unique programs, the committee aims to enhance Moscow's appeal to international tourists and enrich the experiences of its residents. In the competitive tourism landscape, these initiatives play a vital role in increasing visibility, promoting cultural tourism, and fostering sustainable development. Moscow welcomes more visitors from Vietnam and around the world.

The Vietnamese Culture Festival commemorated the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (30/1/1950 – 30/1/2025). Organized by the Moscow City Government in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, the festival continued the tradition of cultural exchange between the two nations, strengthened during the Russia-Vietnam Cross Year (2019–2020) and recent trade promotion programs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
