Vietnam Space Museum not yet open to individual visitors, advises against unofficial group bookings

Demand to visit the Vietnam Space Museum has surged recently, but the museum does not currently have a system for selling tickets to individuals.

The Vietnam Space Museum at the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park officially opened on 21/8/2025. Following media coverage showcasing the museum's interior, individuals have begun organizing groups of around 60 people for visits, as the museum is not currently accepting individual bookings. Some accounts have advertised tickets for around 100,000 VND per person, with planned departures in late August or early September once enough people have joined.

A museum spokesperson stated that there is currently no system in place for individual ticket sales and that they are working with the relevant authorities to accommodate individual visitors soon. Regarding the unofficial group bookings, the spokesperson advised visitors to be cautious to avoid financial losses.

Currently, the museum has not finalized ticket prices for these unofficial groups. Furthermore, the museum needs to verify the legal status of the group organizers before entering into any agreements.

"For the time being, visitors should not participate in these unofficial group bookings. Please wait patiently as we will soon begin selling tickets publicly," the spokesperson said, adding that the museum will temporarily not accept such groups.

According to the spokesperson, for the past three to four years, the museum has hosted numerous groups, primarily students from schools in the city, typically two to three groups per week.

Museum visits provide students with a practical understanding of astronomy, science, and technology – concepts difficult to fully grasp from textbooks alone. Among the thousands of students who visit, the museum hopes that at least one or two will maintain their passion and pursue careers in space science, technology, and satellite manufacturing.

The Vietnam Space Museum is built and operated by the Vietnam Space Center under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. It offers more than just models and exhibits; it provides a dynamic journey, allowing those interested to experience space technology and astronomy in an accessible and authentic way.

The building encompasses over 1,500 m2 of outdoor space and over 1,600 m2 indoors, spanning two floors with a modern design inspired by the vastness of the universe.
