Heavy rain has caused flooding in many areas of Shanxi province since 23/7.
Heavy rain and flooding across northern China have killed at least 48 people and forced tens of thousands to evacuate this week. Dozens of roads have been closed, power has been cut to several villages, and homes have been flooded due to the rain and floods.
Natural disasters occur frequently throughout China, particularly during the summer months, with some areas experiencing heavy rain while others endure extreme heat.
