At the inauguration ceremony today, Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam reported to General Secretary and President To Lam that this is the first Vietnam House in Australia and the entire South Pacific region.

It will serve as a common home for the community, a space to preserve the Vietnamese language, spread Vietnamese culture, and nurture a love for their heritage among the younger generation. It will also help Australian friends better understand Vietnam and its people.

Speaking with the Vietnamese community in Australia, General Secretary and President To Lam stated that he had requested Canberra to continue creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to integrate more deeply and make more positive contributions to the economic and social life.

The General Secretary and President affirmed that the Party and the State consistently uphold the view that the people are the foundation, the center, the subject, the goal, the driving force, and the resource for development. Recently, the Party and the State have focused on concretizing and continuously improving many policies to better care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the overseas Vietnamese community.

He expressed confidence that with their patriotic tradition, spirit of self-reliance, and continuous efforts to overcome challenges, the overseas Vietnamese community in general, including those in Australia, will continue to develop strongly, remain united, and serve as an important bridge, making practical contributions to Vietnam's deep integration process.

The General Secretary and President hoped that Vietnamese experts, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, and students in Australia would continue to shine with their talent and wisdom, establish their prestige and position, actively connect international knowledge, technology, and resources, and together write the next chapter of Vietnam's development story in the new era.
