"These sanctions do not comply with international law or the UN Charter, but are adopted unilaterally or by some alliances," Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said on 31/7.

Medvedev called the approximately 30,000 sanctions "illegal" and said countries need to strengthen equal relations to counter such actions.
"It is equally important that countries encourage each other in multilateral trade and establish logistical and financial support for multilateral trade," the deputy chairman affirmed.
Russia has faced unprecedented sanctions from the West since launching its military operation in Ukraine in 2/2022. However, Russian officials have repeatedly asserted the country's ability to adapt to the sanctions.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that after years, the Russian economy has developed to the point of withstanding sanctions and restrictions from the West.
"We have endured a large number of sanctions for quite some time. Our economy continues to operate under a series of restrictions. Naturally, we have developed a certain immunity to them," Peskov said.
The European Union has imposed 18 rounds of sanctions against Russia, targeting individuals, entities, goods, services, and sectors. Former US President Donald Trump recently warned of increased sanctions against Russia and its business partners if Moscow doesn't end the Ukraine conflict before 8/8.
