"White House doctors recently announced my health is perfect, and for the third consecutive time, I've passed the cognitive test with 100% accuracy, a feat no previous US president or vice president has accomplished," US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social on 2/1.
Trump believes that anyone running for US president or vice president should undergo a serious and proven cognitive test. "We cannot allow foolish or incompetent individuals to lead this great nation," Trump stated.

Trump, 79, is the second oldest person to have served as US President, after his predecessor Joe Biden. His health recently drew attention due to bruises on his hands and the need for imaging tests.
In an interview published in the Wall Street Journal on 1/1, Trump stated the bruises on his hands were due to high-dose aspirin to thin his blood. Sean Barbabella, the US President's personal physician, said Trump takes 325 mg of aspirin daily to prevent cardiovascular disease.
According to Mayo Clinic, a reputable US medical center, daily aspirin use can reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke in people over 60, with the lowest commonly used dose being 81 mg. This means Trump is taking aspirin at four times the usual dose.
Trump previously stated he underwent a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan in 10/2024. However, in the 1/1 interview, he clarified it was not an MRI but a computed tomography (CT) scan.

President Trump also denied reports that he dozes off during meetings, instead asserting he is merely relaxing. "I just close my eyes, it's very relaxing," he said. "Sometimes they take a picture when I'm blinking and catch that moment."
Trump stated that besides playing golf, he does not exercise because he finds it boring. "Walking or running on a machine for hours like some people do is not for me," he added.
