On behalf of General Secretary To Lam and Vietnam's leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed a message to ASEAN leaders and citizens, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"We appreciate that after 58 years of formation and development, ASEAN has grown in both stature and standing, playing an increasingly important role regionally and globally. ASEAN maintains the principles of consensus and unity in diversity, and has become a dynamic development region and a focal point for growth," Prime Minister Chinh said. He emphasized that ASEAN has adopted Vision 2045 and is striving to make this vision a reality.

He stated that during 30 years of ASEAN membership, alongside ASEAN's growth, Vietnam has also matured and developed with the wholehearted, selfless, and transparent support of ASEAN countries. Vietnam has diligently learned from other ASEAN nations and has formulated its own Vision 2045 to become a high-income developed country, aligning with the shared vision of the ASEAN Community.

Vietnam hopes for ASEAN's support in realizing this vision and will continue to implement an independent and self-reliant foreign policy, pursuing diversification and multilateralization. Vietnam aims to be a good friend, a reliable partner to all countries, and a responsible member of the international community, contributing to peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

"We are committed to continuing our contribution and making every effort to build a united and consensual ASEAN, unified in its diversity, and to promote rapid, sustainable development based on science, technology, and innovation," Prime Minister Chinh affirmed.
