On the afternoon of 18/1, a dashcam-equipped car captured a puzzling accident involving a Tesla Model Y. The electric vehicle veered left, its wheels scraping the curb, and as it approached the intersection, it accelerated, ran a red light, crashed into the median, and launched high into the air amidst a cloud of dust.

At the scene, the Model Y lay on its side, and the driver was trapped inside. Bystanders helped extricate the victim, according to Sina. Fortunately, the collision did not result in a fire, but the electric vehicle sustained heavy damage.

The cause of the accident is currently unknown. Some speculate the driver may have fallen asleep or been distracted, as there were no signs of the car being controlled when it veered or approached the red light.
