Truck accident on expressway attributed to uncontrolled speed

A speeding truck collided forcefully with another truck that was stopped in the right lane on 28/2 on the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway in Duy Tien.

The incident occurred when a dashcam-equipped vehicle slowed down behind a line of other cars in lane one on the expressway. Concurrently, a truck was stationary in the right lane. Suddenly, a second truck, showing no signs of slowing, rapidly crashed into the stationary truck. The extent of the damage from the collision is currently unknown.

Drivers must always control their speed to maintain a safe distance, anticipating any unexpected situations, especially on expressways where vehicles travel at high speeds. Decree 168/2024 stipulates that vehicles failing to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead face a fine of two to six million dong and a deduction of two points from their driver's license. If such an action causes an accident, the fine increases to 20-22 million dong, along with a deduction of 10 points.
