AIA Vietnam pays out over 1,230 billion VND in benefits

AIA Vietnam Life Insurance Company Limited paid out over 1,230 billion VND (52.6 million USD) in insurance benefits to over 120,000 customers in the first 7 months of the year.

Specifically, the company paid over 630 billion VND for health-related benefits, including critical illness, total permanent disability, hospitalization, and other medical benefits; nearly 450 billion VND for death benefits; and over 150 billion VND for other contractual benefits. By the end of July, the company had paid a total of over 15,600 billion VND in benefits to over 1.5 million customers.

AIA Vietnam maintains a secure financial foundation with a solvency margin of 191%. As of 30/6, the company's total assets reached 71,523 billion VND, a 6% increase compared to the beginning of the year. A company representative stated these factors are key to ensuring the company's ability to meet its commitments to customers, both now and in the future.

To enhance the customer experience, in July 2024, the company launched the AIA health insurance service, focusing on claims management and proactive customer care. In just over a year, the company has partnered with over 470 hospitals and clinics to provide direct billing services, ensuring customers receive prompt support. As of the end of July, AIA Vietnam serves over 1.6 million customers and has a network of nearly 200 offices nationwide.

With a customer-centric strategy, AIA Vietnam focuses on key pillars: product development, operations, digitalization, and the quality of its financial advisor team.

Regarding technology, AIA Vietnam has invested significantly in its digital platform, notably the AIA+ app, an ecosystem that allows customers to track policies, check benefits, and submit claims. The company also uses AI in the claims assessment process, shortening processing times. Currently, 80% of claims are processed within 24 hours, 92% within two days, and 94.5% within 5 days, with only a small number taking longer due to the need for additional documents or assessments.

However, a company representative emphasized that technology is just a tool, and the human element remains core. With the "Premier Agency 3.0" strategy, AIA focuses on building a team of professional and dedicated advisors capable of providing comprehensive advice and supporting customers throughout their insurance journey.

Along with financial protection, AIA Vietnam promotes healthy living through community programs. AIA Vitality has helped thousands of customers adopt positive lifestyles through exercise, proper nutrition, and regular health checkups. In healthcare support, the company collaborates with Teladoc Health to implement the "Medical Journey" service, supporting customers with critical illnesses from medical advice to specialized treatment connections.

Thanks to these contributions, AIA Vietnam has been recognized by domestic and international organizations for many years. As of 2025, the company has been listed in Vietnam Report's Top 10 Most Reputable Insurance Companies for 10 consecutive years and has been named in the "Top 10 Innovative and Effective Businesses - VIE10" for two consecutive years. The company has also been recognized as a "Great Place To Work" in Vietnam for 7 consecutive years and has maintained the title of "Best Workplace in Asia" for 6 consecutive years.

An AIA Vietnam representative said the motto "Healthier, Longer, Better Lives" continues to guide the company's future activities. With a solid financial foundation, a comprehensive digitalization strategy, a professional team of advisors, and a commitment to the community, the company aims to be a comprehensive protection partner and lifelong companion for its customers.
