Techcombank injects an additional 2,400 billion VND into Techcom Life

Techcombank has approved a resolution to invest an additional 2,400 billion VND into Techcom Life, its life insurance subsidiary, raising the company's total charter capital to 4,300 billion VND.

This significant capital injection positions Techcom Life among Vietnam's largest life insurance companies. The funds will strengthen its resources, facilitate investment in technology, and integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into developing insurance products and enhancing its modern distribution network. This initiative aligns with the company's objective to "reinvent the insurance industry – empowering future autonomy".

A Techcombank representative stated that the capital increase for Techcom Life is a strategic step towards building the bank's comprehensive financial ecosystem. Techcom Life, with its health and financial solutions, is a key pillar in supporting customers and their families through their life journeys.

In less than one year since its establishment, Techcom Life has rapidly operationalized its systems and achieved significant milestones. According to data from the Insurance Association of Vietnam (IAV), the company consistently ranked among the top 5 life insurers with the highest new business premiums in the market during the first five months of 2026. Notably, its customer satisfaction score reached 4,9/5, and its Net Promoter Score (NPS) was 89, placing it among the highest in the industry.

Recently, Techcom Life was also honored in two categories at The Asian Banker Vietnam Awards 2026. Its "Universal Life - Techcom Life Max vung vang" product received the "Best Life Insurance Product in Vietnam" award. This product offers a combination of protection, savings, and asset preservation, tailored for affluent and middle-income customer segments.

Additionally, The Asian Banker recognized iProtek, Techcom Life's AI-integrated sales and data analytics platform, with the "Best Life Insurance Technology in Vietnam" award. This platform assists advisors in analyzing financial needs, proposing solutions, managing contracts, automating pricing, expediting claims processing, and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Techcom Life benefits from the advantages and financial ecosystem of its parent bank, Techcombank. The bank currently serves approximately 18 million individual and corporate customers through its comprehensive financial solutions ecosystem and digital banking platform. Techcombank also holds high credit ratings from international organizations, including: FiinRatings (AA-), Moody’s (Ba3), S&P (BB), and Fitch (BB-).
