Vedan Vietnam, a company with a 34-year history in the Vietnamese market known for its monosodium glutamate (MSG) and seasoning products, showcased its expansion into the frozen food sector at the Vietfish 2025 international seafood exhibition. The event took place from 27/8 to 29/8 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. The company presented a diverse portfolio of new frozen food products.
"Vedan's core value is creating delicious flavors. Therefore, all future products, whether seasonings or frozen foods, will be developed based on this foundation," a company representative stated.

For the development of its frozen food line, Vedan collaborated with renowned Taiwanese chef Chia-Mo Chen, who provided expert consultation during the research and development process. One highlight is the Sichuan-style braised fish with pickled mustard greens, which combines international culinary expertise with local ingredients: black pepper, Sichuan peppercorns, and rice vermicelli.

Building on the success of its golden fish balls with salted egg yolk filling, Vedan has introduced two new flavors: cheese and mushroom-pork. These offer surprising layers of flavor within each fish ball. The brand will soon launch lion's head crab-flavored meatballs, a distinctive dish blending seafood and meat.
At the exhibition, Vedan also showcased several international dishes: Japanese takoyaki, Korean chijimi pancakes, and Taiwanese moon shrimp and squid cakes. All ingredients are sourced from carefully selected Vietnamese seafood and agricultural products.

Beyond seafood, Vedan continues to expand its frozen food offerings with ready-to-eat meat products and convenient meals. Notably, the company’s fresh sausage launch and accompanying marketing campaign have been well-received by consumers. Vedan has also adapted and introduced Taiwanese night market-style crispy fried chicken to the Vietnamese market. In addition to the familiar chili sauce or ground pepper pairings, Vedan showcased a unique Taiwanese touch: serving the chicken with fried basil leaves, adding a distinctive flavor and capturing the "soul" of the dish.
