VMG opens Cambridge Assessment English authorized center in Dong Nai

VMG English launched the Cambridge Assessment English authorized center VN055 on 29/8, offering three international testing locations and providing local students access to Cambridge English certifications.

The Ministry of Education and Training has approved three testing locations under VN055: VMG English Nguyen Khuyen (Trang Dai ward, Dong Nai) with 14 paper-based testing rooms and one computer-based testing room; VMG English Pham Van Thuan (Tran Bien ward, Dong Nai) with 8 paper-based testing rooms and one computer-based testing room; and VMG English Nguyen Trai (Long Khanh ward, Dong Nai) with 10 paper-based testing rooms and one computer-based testing room.

These modern facilities meet Cambridge English standards for infrastructure, security, and technology. VN055 will offer both paper-based and computer-based tests for international certifications such as KET, PET, FCE, and CAE.

The opening ceremony at the VMG Nguyen Khuyen facility was attended by representatives from Cambridge English, leaders from the Dong Nai Department of Education and Training, affiliated schools, and foreign language centers.

Nguyen Khac Dung, Customer Services Manager for Cambridge English in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar, stated that the establishment of VN055 will make it easier for test takers in Dong Nai to access globally recognized certifications, expanding their educational and career opportunities.

Previously, many test takers had to travel to Ho Chi Minh City or neighboring provinces to take Cambridge exams. The presence of VN055 reduces travel costs and stress, while also expanding opportunities for various student groups.

Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VMG and Director of VN055, believes that holding Cambridge exams in Dong Nai not only meets the demand for English proficiency standards but also contributes to improving the quality of the workforce in the context of international integration.

In recent years, Cambridge certifications have become a measure of English proficiency in over 130 countries and are recognized by many schools and businesses in Vietnam. VMG becoming a Cambridge Assessment English authorized center in Dong Nai makes it more convenient for local students to obtain international certifications, enhancing their academic and career prospects.

According to Khanh, these strategies help VMG develop sustainably in the field of foreign language education in Dong Nai, aiming to become a liberal and internationally integrated education system by 2035.
