'New generation students 2026' launches first online competition

Submissions for the competition are open from 24/10 to 24/11, inviting students nationwide to propose solutions for real-world issues in their localities, schools, and communities.

The online competition, running concurrently with the "Sinh vien The he Moi 2026" reality TV show on VTV3, offers a broader platform for students across universities, academies, and colleges nationwide. This initiative aims to empower students to proactively develop innovative solutions for challenges they observe.

The competition's theme, "My hometown has problems, Vietnamese Gen Z has solutions," encourages students to leverage their knowledge, creativity, and youthful perspectives to deliver practical community solutions.

Ideas can stem from various real-world issues: a traditional craft village struggling to attract young talent, local agricultural products lacking stable markets, or environmental, health, and education concerns in their residential areas.

Projects can cover diverse fields, including: environment, agriculture, education, culture, tourism, science and technology, digital transformation, health, economy, entrepreneurship, and community development. Participants do not need an existing business, startup, or finished product; ideas in proposal, experimental, or implementation stages are welcome.

Key to participation is clearly defining the problem, identifying beneficiaries, and outlining how the solution will be implemented. Even a small-scale idea addressing a specific need can create significant community value.

Introducing the New Generation Students Online 2026 competition. *Tung Dinh*.

The competition will select 30 outstanding projects. The top 5 projects will each receive 15 million dong and a competition gift set. The remaining 25 projects in the top 30 will also receive a gift set. Additionally, the top 5 audience-favorite projects will each be awarded two million dong.

The Herbalife Award, valued at 50 million dong, will be presented to the educational institution with the most eligible project submissions. This award acknowledges active institutional support in fostering student creativity and community-focused initiatives.

Beyond monetary prizes, the competition offers students valuable opportunities to apply their knowledge, hone problem-solving skills, and collaborate with peers on project development.

Students enrolled at universities, academies, and colleges nationwide can register individually or in teams of up to 5 members. Teams can comprise students from different institutions. Each student may join only one team, and each team can submit one project.

To prepare their proposals, contestants can utilize the 5W1H method. This involves identifying the problem, those affected, reasons for change, solution implementation, and anticipated benefits. This approach helps teams articulate the necessity and feasibility of their ideas.

The submission portal is open from 0h on 24/10 until 23h59 on 24/11. Students can visit Sinhvienthehemoi.com to register, submit proposals, and review detailed rules.

The online competition operates with its own distinct rules, evaluation process, and prize structure, separate from the "Sinh vien The he Moi 2026" TV show on VTV3. Official members of the 8 teams chosen for the TV show, and their projects, are not eligible for the online competition. However, other students from schools with teams in the top 8 can still participate if they meet the competition's criteria.
