According to HK01, Vien Tuong Nhan's wife announced that he died on 1/1/2026, following a period of treatment at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Hong Kong. His funeral is scheduled for 1/2. The family has not disclosed details about Vien Tuong Nhan's health in his final years.

Born in 1957, Vien Tuong Nhan was an actor, director, and martial arts choreographer. His father, Vien Tieu Dien, was a renowned actor and action director in Chinese cinema, famous for films like "Drunken Master" and "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow". Vien Tuong Nhan's elder brother, Vien Hoa Binh, is also a celebrated director and action choreographer.
Vien Tuong Nhan, along with his siblings, began studying martial arts with his father at a young age, later becoming a stunt performer. From the late 1960s, he served as an action director for numerous Chinese and Hollywood productions, including "The Miracle Fighters", "Fearless", and "Marvel's Daredevil". In 1991, he choreographed Tsui Hark's "Once Upon a Time in China", which won best action choreography at the Hong Kong Film Awards.

He often portrayed "master" characters in Stephen Chow's films. Notable roles include the beggar selling the Buddha's Palm manual in "Kung Fu Hustle" and the beggar imparting lost martial arts in "King of Beggars". Despite limited screen time, his character portrayals and their significance left a lasting impression in these works.

The actor also appeared in films such as "Forbidden City Cop", "Viet Quang Bao Hap", "Tai Chi Master", "Fist of Legend", and "The Grandmaster". In 2025, he filmed his final two movies: "Hong Gia Y" and "Phong Vi Xe Do An Nhanh".
