Actress born in the 90s wades through fields to catch fish for Tet TV series

PT Ngoc Diep, an actress previously seen in "Lam Giau Voi Ma" and "Bit Mat Bat Nai", is set to debut in her first lead role in a television series airing this Tet holiday.

The film "Tet Nay Em Noi Tieng", produced by director Thai Hoang and screenwriter Phan Ngoc Lien, is scheduled to air on VTV9 during the upcoming Tet Binh Ngo holiday. Set in the Mekong Delta, the series follows Man, played by PT Ngoc Diep, a young woman who dreams of becoming famous. This ambition leads to a series of humorous complications and misunderstandings within her family and daily life.

This marks PT Ngoc Diep's first lead role in a television series. She shared that her character, Man, is a strong, active woman from the Mekong Delta who wants to be involved in everything happening in her community. This provided Ngoc Diep with opportunities to fully immerse herself on set, performing stunts such as jumping into rivers to save people, engaging in fights, social drinking, and wading through fields to catch fish. "I often joked with the crew that Man is like a neighborhood leader," the actress quipped.

Taking on the lead role in "Tet Nay Em Noi Tieng" also gave Ngoc Diep her first experiences filming in mud and enduring numerous mosquito bites. The actress stated that while the filming process was challenging, it was an opportunity for her to grow.

Before embarking on her acting career, Ngoc Diep dreamed of becoming a tour guide. Her homeroom teacher suggested she try acting, noticing her frequent participation in cultural performances, passion, and flexibility in her acting. The actress successfully passed the entrance exam for the Acting Department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema, later graduating with honors.

In cinema, Ngoc Diep has taken on supporting roles in projects like "Lam Giau Voi Ma", "Bit Mat Bat Nai", and "Madames Thanh Sac", which is expected to be released in 6/. According to the actress, each role helps her accumulate knowledge and acting experience.

Beyond acting, Ngoc Diep also works as an office employee to support her life and sustain her passion. "Pursuing an acting career involves significant costs. I need a stable foundation for the long term," the actress stated.

The actress mentioned she will diligently attend castings and invest more in her image to seek opportunities for new roles. She believes she is well-suited for positive and innocent characters but hopes to challenge herself with villainous and psychologically complex roles.
