Chaumet's jewelry collection uses traditional enamel technique

Inspired by soaring birds, Chaumet introduces the Envol collection, utilizing the French Grand Feu enameling technique combined with gold, diamonds, and precious stones.

The Envol 2026 collection draws inspiration from a wing-shaped piece of jewelry, adorned with diamonds and blue enamel. American sculptor Gertrude Payne Whitney purchased this piece in London in 1910. The design merges the Belle Epoque spirit with Chaumet's contemporary creative language.

Chaumet, a French high jewelry, gemstone, and watch brand, has launched its "Envol" collection. This bird-themed collection continues celestial narratives from "Les Ciels de Chaumet" (2019) and "Un Air de Chaumet" (2024). This year, Chaumet presents a "take flight" message, connecting its nearly 250-year history with the Grand Feu enameling technique.

In Envol's designs, the enamel layer not only decorates the surface but also creates optical depth, reflecting light and suggesting smooth movement, like feather tips trembling in the wind.

Grand Feu enamel pairs with Madagascar and Ceylon sapphires. These gemstones are chosen to harmonize with the enamel's color, creating a seamless transition between crafted material and natural mineral.

While the wing's shape defines the collection, color provides its essence. Envol features blue hues, a signature color for Chaumet, transitioning from sky blue to a deep, night-like shade. To achieve this effect, artisans revived and refined the Grand Feu enameling technique. This process requires patience and precision, firing enamel at high temperatures for clarity and durability.

In Vietnam, Tam Son International Company officially distributes the Chaumet brand.

A brand representative described the Envol collection as a romantic moment: when one's feet leave the ground, wings spread to embrace the wind, ready to face life's currents. Chaumet, with its technique, captures this movement using gold, diamonds, and sapphires. "In a noisy, rushed world, the Envol collection reminds us of calm, resolute beauty.
