Chung Gia Han: 'Challenges strengthen marriage'

Hong Kong star Chung Gia Han states maintaining a 10-year marriage is not easy, expressing gratitude for overcoming difficulties with her husband.

According to St Headline, Chung Gia Han's family life became a topic of discussion on Weibo after a source claimed the actress was suing her husband, Canadian doctor Jeremy, for asset division and child custody. At an event on 15/11, Gia Han stated that as someone active in the entertainment industry, she is accustomed to rumors and does not let them bother her, focusing instead on her family, her work, and cherishing her happiness.

Chung Gia Han admitted that maintaining a 10-year marriage is not easy. The actress said, "Our relationship grows stronger, and our affection deepens. We've grown accustomed to each other's flaws, becoming more tolerant. Certainly, a marriage needs to weather storms to become more stable".

The period the actress found most challenging was after giving birth to her first child. With a child, she felt her world changed, and the couple also needed to learn how to care for a baby and how to reconcile differing opinions.

Chung Gia Han values her husband's contributions to the family. Jeremy voluntarily gave up personal hobbies like surfing and golf. He is a good cook and often takes charge in the kitchen.

To date, Gia Han has three children: her eldest is 9 years old, and the youngest is three years old. The couple plans to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary in December. Besides a celebration with their extended family, the actress and Jeremy will go on a four-day getaway, with grandparents taking care of the children.

Since marrying, Gia Han has frequently traveled between Canada and Hong Kong because she does not want to stop working in the entertainment industry. When not filming, she dedicates all her time to her family. Daily, Chung Gia Han is busy with household chores like cleaning and cooking. By evening, she is tired and just wants to sleep, with little time for private dates with her husband.

Chung Gia Han has been active in the entertainment industry for 21 years, since winning the Miss Chinese International title in 2004. The actress starred in TVB dramas such as "A Great Way to Care", "Brother's Keeper", "Princess Hours", "Heart of Greed", and "Tiger Cubs 2". After "Kids' Lives Matter" (2021), she has not released any new films. In recent years, she has participated in TV shows, filmed commercials, and organized live shows.
