The wedding of Tan Loc, son of comedian Tan Beo, and Quynh Anh, granddaughter of renowned singer Che Linh, took place in Ho Chi Minh City. The event gathered many acquaintances from the entertainment industry. Despite his weak legs after a stroke, Tan Beo's health has improved. He shook hands and waved to familiar faces, joining his wife, Phung Thi Dung, in greeting guests in the reception hall.
During the ceremony, his wife and colleagues, including actors Tan Hoang and Dung Nhi, assisted him onto the stage, where he joined both families to greet the guests. Tan Beo became emotional as many people cheered "anh Ba" (the artist's affectionate nickname) in encouragement. After the ceremony, he smiled happily, watching his son walk down the aisle with his wife. During the reception, artists Huu Nghia, Quoc Thuan, and Linh Tam gathered around Tan Beo, singing together the song 60 Nam Cuoc Doi (Life of 60 Years), composed by Y Van.

The actor suffered a stroke in mid-2023, waking up one morning to the condition. Fortunately, his relatives promptly took him to the emergency room. One year later, Tan Beo's condition has improved; he can walk and hold simple conversations but must continue physical therapy.
Following the stroke, he was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure (stage 5) and underwent dialysis at a hospital. Gradually, his health improved, requiring only monthly follow-up appointments. After one year of treatment, both his mental state and physical condition have shown improvement. The artist stated his commitment to training to return to the stage and reunite with fans soon.
Before his health challenges, the actor described living a peaceful life with "three meals a day and enough clothes to wear". He did not appear in many films or major shows but still accepted invitations to perform tours in the western and central provinces each month. Compared to the golden age of comedy, Tan Beo's show frequency decreased by more than one-half. Nevertheless, he did not feel sad, as audiences continued to show him affection.
"When they see me on the street, they ask why I haven't appeared in films for a long time, which means they still care and look forward to my work. I only fear people saying: 'This guy appears too much, it's boring'", Tan Beo shared.
Comedian Tan Beo, whose real name is Tan Danh, is 60 years old. He is the son of Cai Luong artist Tan Tai, known as the "King of Records". In the 1980s, he performed Cai Luong with theater troupes in the western provinces. In 1996, as Cai Luong declined, Tan Beo, his younger brother Tan Bo, and comedian My Chi formed a comedy group. Later, the Tan Beo brothers separated to pursue independent careers.
In 2003, Tan Beo and his brother won the "Outstanding Actor, Comedy Group" award for their skit Vi Sao Len Chua at Gala Cuoi. Tan Beo also received the Outstanding Male Comedian award at Mai Vang 2003. He has also appeared in films and television shows such as Khi Dan Ong Co Bau, Vo Lam Truyen Ky, and Mui Ngo Gai.
