Singer Dong Lan has launched her new MV, "ORCHID hoa lan", an artistic endeavor dedicated to celebrating the female body and women's diverse emotions. The song uses the image of an orchid to speak about women, exploring the hidden corners of their souls.
For Dong Lan, female empowerment is not about women becoming strong according to a stereotype or confronting men. Instead, it lies in the right to self-determination, the freedom to listen to their desires, and the confidence to live authentically. "Through this work, I hope women learn to cherish their bodies, love themselves, and confidently embrace their true selves", the singer said.
The project integrates cutting-edge technology, featuring virtual reality artist MinHang and creative director Shizen (Nhi Ngo). The team designed a ba-dimensional space, guiding viewers on a journey through ba distinct lands that culminate in an image inside a mother's womb. Viewers can experience the MV via phone, computer, or virtual reality (VR) glasses.
"ORCHID hoa lan" is part of the Redmoon charity project, a vision Dong Lan developed while living in Paris, France. Through her music, she explores themes related to women's bodies, emotions, and inner lives. All proceeds from digital music releases are dedicated to the charity fund of the same name.
