The song, composed by Le Quang, was first performed by Khac Trieu with fellow musicians during an online music event in 2020. His fondness for the track led him to record a complete version last year, initially intending it as a personal keepsake. Recently, upon revisiting the recording, he was moved by the emotions it evoked and decided to release the music video as a gift to his audience.
Now at age 72, Khac Trieu expressed a desire to pursue music on his own terms, focusing more on singing alongside his enduring passion for drumming. He hopes to foster a closer connection with his audience through future self-written and performed songs.
Khac Trieu often lightheartedly refers to himself as a "promising young talent" in the realm of singing. "Everything feels new and inspiring to me right now," he shared.

During a 2025 trip to the US to visit his daughter, Khac Trieu's wife and children suggested he create a music video for the song. Though initially reserved, he gained confidence through his family's encouragement and support.
Artist Cam Van closely supervised her husband during filming, providing professional input. She noted that Khac Trieu, despite his significant influence, often prioritized her spotlight. "Sometimes I feel emotional because he truly possesses a beautiful singing voice and strong stage presence. When he expressed a desire for his own musical space, I was delighted and fully supportive," Cam Van stated.
His two daughters served as stylists, helping Khac Trieu maintain his distinctive rugged image in the music video. He retained his signature long, curly hair, familiar to his audience. "I am grateful to my family for always being my emotional anchor," Khac Trieu shared. "My wife and two children are both my fans and colleagues, inspiring me to dedicate myself fully to art."
Khac Trieu took charge of the song's arrangement, mixing, and recording. He crafted a ballad-driven arrangement, featuring a blend of instruments: violin, bass, and electric guitar. For the visuals, director Tung Phan selected famous landmarks such as Brooklyn Bridge in New York, Philadelphia City Hall, and the vibrant autumn forests of Boston for filming. The music video transitions between somber, edgy, and radiant autumn scenes, offering viewers a range of emotions.
