Five Gen Z artists debut at Lan Song Xanh Awards

Singers 52Hz, buitruonglinh, Lamoon, Lyhan, and Nguyen Hung received their first Lan Song Xanh nominations in the "Outstanding New Face" category.

Lyhan was the runner-up of the first season of "Em xinh say hi", announced in August 2025. During the competition, audiences recognized her as a "dancing machine" due to her dance and rap skills, with impressive performances like "Run" and "Not My Fault". After the show, Lyhan chose a slow and steady path, so she has not yet released many projects.

52Hz rose to prominence after reaching the finals of the first season of the show "Em xinh say hi". During the show, contestants trusted her as their team leader due to her skills in composing, rapping, and music production. 52Hz has contributed to several hit songs, including "Run", "Khong dau nua roi", "Qua chin qua", and "Ta di da".

Born Tran Thi Phuong Thao, the 27-year-old from Hai Phong comes from a family with a musical background: her mother is a teacher and her older brother is a producer. 52Hz once dreamed of becoming a teacher. After meeting rapper RIO, she was inspired to compose, leading her to pursue a career as a singer. This connection also led to their marriage in early 2025.

Before participating in the show, 52Hz garnered attention in the indie music scene with works like "Soi chi do", "Thoi ma", and "Ngu mot minh cung quen", which are narrative rap songs. Her stage name is inspired by the 52Hz whale, dubbed "the world's loneliest whale" by scientists, which also inspired Joshua Zeman's documentary "The Loneliest Whale: The Search for 52".

buitruonglinh achieved success in 2025, winning runner-up in the second season of "Anh trai say hi". The singer participated in several million-view performances on the show, such as "Hermosa", "Crazy", and "Make up". His participation in the competition significantly increased his fan base.

buitruonglinh, whose real name is Bui Truong Linh, is 27 years old and hails from Ha Noi. He studied at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. After his family moved south, he continued his vocal studies at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.

Before "Anh trai say hi", he was known for "Duong toi cho em ve" (61 million views on YouTube), "Du cho mai ve sau" (27 million), "Yeu nguoi co uoc mo" (26 million), and "Tung ngay yeu em" (38 million).

Lamoon gained widespread recognition in the music industry after reaching the top 5 of "Em xinh say hi". Her beautiful face and clear voice contributed to her popularity with audiences. She has songs that charted on Lan Song Xanh, including "Cam ky thi hoa" and "Bac thang len hoi ong troi".

Following the competition, she quickly released her debut album, "La Moon", featuring 12 self-composed tracks. The young singer is also in high demand for events and advertising photoshoots.

Born Nguyen Le Diem Hang, the 23-year-old is an alumna of Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted in Quang Nam. The singer won top awards in provincial gifted student competitions and was the runner-up in the acting major at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema in 2021. In 2023, she competed in "Than tuong am nhac Viet Nam", finishing in the top 6. She also drew attention for her role as Ut Kho in the film "Dia dao".

Born Tran Thao Linh, the 27-year-old hails from Thanh Hoa. In 2018, she participated in the TV show "The Debut" but was unsuccessful. Later, Lyhan gained more recognition through collaborations with Hoang Ton on the song "Tinh yeu ngu yen" and Osad on the MV "Yeu sac yeu". The singer currently has nearly two million followers on her TikTok account.

Nguyen Hung made a splash in the music scene in 2025 with "Con gi dep hon", a song inspired by the film "Mua do", which garnered tens of millions of views. The song won the "Inspiring Music" award at the Vietnam iContent Awards 2025. From an unknown artist, Nguyen Hung became a phenomenon in the music industry.

In addition to the "Outstanding New Face" nomination, Nguyen Hung is also nominated in other significant Lan Song Xanh categories, such as "Male Singer/Rapper of the Year". "Con gi dep hon" is also competing for "Phenomenal Song" and "Song of the Year". "I am grateful and happy to be nominated. This recognition motivates me to strive even harder in my career", he stated.

Nguyen Hung, 27 years old, was born in Gia Lai. His childhood was spent amidst fields, coffee hills, and afternoons listening to the radio. After high school, he moved to Da Nang to study automotive electricity while working as a server at a coffee shop. There, he met a friend of the owner, a directing student, and developed an interest in acting. While participating in the "Dan ca go" project, the director lacked the budget to purchase rights for a new song and asked Nguyen Hung to compose one. This led to the creation of "Phep mau", marking Nguyen Hung's entry into the professional music field, where he remains today.
