Hoai Lam is getting married

Singer Hoai Lam, 31, announced he and his girlfriend Ngoc Trinh, 22, are taking wedding photos in preparation for their wedding.

Hoai Lam had a wedding photoshoot with his girlfriend in Vinh Long on 12/9. His fiancee, born in 2004, does not work in entertainment. Though the wedding date remains unannounced, the singer expressed emotion and gratitude for the well wishes from his audience.

The couple chose a studio for their photoshoot, featuring two styles: modern and traditional. Makeup artist Tuyet Minh noted Hoai Lam's girlfriend has gentle beauty, leading her to prioritize natural makeup.

For the past two years, Hoai Lam has lived primarily in his hometown of Vinh Long, recovering from mental health challenges. Through a scientific diet and exercise, the singer lost 10 kg, achieving a slimmer physique. His manager said the 9x generation singer aims to reinvent himself, seeking a positive image and stable life.

In 2024, he faced health issues, canceling two music nights in TP HCM and halting performances for months. Hoai Lam was fortunate to have his parents' care and advice, which helped him overcome struggles.

The singer gained fame after winning the Guong mat than quen (Your Face Sounds Familiar) competition in 2014. In 2017, he publicly announced his relationship with Bao Ngoc, artist Bao Quoc's niece, and reduced his activities. In late 2018, Hoai Lam stopped singing, returning to his hometown for illness treatment. In late 2019, their relationship fractured, and he continued his reclusive life.

In 2020, Hoai Lam captivated audiences with hit songs Hoa no khong mau (Flowers Bloom Without Color) and Buon lam chi em oi (Why Are You Sad, My Dear) by Nguyen Minh Cuong, after a two-year absence from the stage. He won "Song of the Year" at the Cong hien (Devotion) Awards and a Lan Song Xanh (Blue Wave) Award that year. Beyond singing, he appeared in films: Thien duong mau (Blood Paradise) (2025), Quy tu bat dac di (Reluctant Son) (2015), Tia toi la cao thu (My Father Is a Master) (2016), and Yeu em bat chap (Love You Unconditionally) (2018).
