Jennifer found it interesting that Bao Nam chose not to stay close to home, yet also expressed a desire not to be too far. Her son also wishes to live in a dormitory to experience student life and develop self-reliance.
Jennifer Pham admits she is worried as her son prepares to leave the family home. However, she feels reassured by Bao Nam's clear direction. "I once wanted to keep my child close, but I've come to understand I must let him grow independently", she stated.
Previously, she took Bao Nam to visit several major universities in California. They toured the University of California, Irvine (UCI) - where Jennifer Pham once studied medicine before returning to Vietnam for entertainment. She also bought a car for Bao Nam to learn to drive, ensuring easy travel.
