Katy Perry and former Canadian prime minister attend World Economic Forum

Singer Katy Perry and former prime minister Justin Trudeau attended the World Economic Forum, marking their first joint appearance at a major event.

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau participated in the Global Soft Power Summit, part of the World Economic Forum, on 20/1 in Davos, Switzerland. Their attendance marked a significant public outing for the couple.

According to People, the two held hands while seated in the front row at the event. The singer listened intently to the former Canadian prime minister's speech, in which he recounted a recent date with an American woman at a rooftop bar in Montreal, Canada. Several international news outlets, including Instyle, suggested he was referring to Katy Perry during his remarks.

This marked their first appearance at a major event as a couple since they went public with their relationship in October 2025, which coincided with Katy Perry's 41st birthday. The couple was rumored to be dating since late July of the same year, after paparazzi spotted them dining together at a restaurant in Montreal. She began her relationship with Trudeau after calling off her engagement to long-time boyfriend, actor Orlando Bloom, in June 2025.

Since making their relationship public, Katy Perry has occasionally posted photos with her partner on Instagram. In early January, the singer shared a series of images capturing cherished memories from the recent Christmas holiday, including a picture of her kissing her partner's cheek by the beach. Previously, she also posted numerous photos and videos of their dates in Tokyo, Japan, in early December 2025. During this trip, Justin Trudeau and his girlfriend also visited former Japanese prime minister Fumio Kishida and his wife.

Katy Perry, 42, is a renowned American singer and songwriter, recognized as a pop icon of the 2010s. Her hit songs include: Dark Horse, Roar, Bon Appetit, Firework, Last Friday Night, and Hot N Cold. Perry and Orlando Bloom have a five-year-old daughter named Daisy. She was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.

Justin Trudeau, 55, served as Canada's prime minister from 2015 to 2025. A member of the Liberal Party, he was the second youngest prime minister in Canadian history. In January, he announced his resignation. Trudeau announced his separation from his wife, Sophie Gregoire, in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage; they have three children.
